This garden has just enough grass for this homeowner's future pup while giving them some great outdoor living spaces. An outdoor dinning room, living room and reading nook have all been carved in to a once lawn filled space. Furniture shall be coming soon.
We would like to keep the curvilinear form of the existing patio near the home. This one organizing element will be the take-off point for the design.

This quintessential Fort Collins bungalow came with the norm - A yard filled with lawn and a few trees and shrubs. The homeowner wanted space for entertaining; she wanted space for a future dog without much lawn. Brittany cut her lawn down to 1/4 of the size, added in an outdoor dining room, reading nook, outdoor living room, and a veggie garden. By formalizing the structures of each space with planters to separate and a mix of curvilinear and geometric shapes, Brittany helped create a series of useful spaces within this one backyard.
